Rap Coasters

Every year Carnevale sends out an annual holiday gift to our clients. This year we created a set of four coasters featuring various rap quotes with a drinking theme. I created the designs one square at a time, piecing together traditional cross-stitch patterns and typefaces. The coasters were then letterpressed with a fluorescent red and bright teal to help showcase all the intricate detail.

The coasters were wrapped with twine and a hand stamped tag and then enclosed inside of a two-color screenprinted petal envelope. The entire piece is sealed with a clear round sticker and placed inside of a clear plastic enveloped.

This piece won the Merit Award in the 2015 HOW Promotion and Marketing Design Awards and appeared in the September 2015 issue of How Magazine.
